Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers Recipe
Start your next gathering with a simple yet irresistible appetizer: bacon-wrapped jalapeo poppers! With only four ingredients, these poppers are stuffed with a creamy cheese mixture and wrapped in crispy bacon. It's an appetizer thats guaranteed to impress.
Ingredients
- cup cream cheese
- cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 12 jalapeo peppers, halved lengthwise, seeds and membranes removed
- 12 slices bacon
Directions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400F (200C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Prepare the cheese mixture: In a bowl, combine the cream cheese and shredded Cheddar cheese. Mix until the two cheeses are fully blended and smooth.
- Stuff the jalapeos: Fill each halved jalapeo with the cream cheese and Cheddar mixture. Press the halves back together to enclose the filling.
- Wrap with bacon: Take one slice of bacon and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeo, securing it well. Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeos on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve hot. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor!
Make-Ahead Tips
Want to save time? Prepare the poppers ahead of time by stuffing and wrapping the jalapeos. Instead of baking them right away, refrigerate them in an airtight until you're ready to cook. Bake just before serving to enjoy fresh, crispy poppers!
Storing Leftovers
If you have any leftover poppers, store them in an airtight in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. We dont recommend freezing them, as the cream cheese mixture doesnt freeze well.

We absolutely adored these! Although mine required a longer cooking time than indicated (around 40 minutes), they turned out fantastic. I decided to include a touch of garlic powder in the cheese mixture on a whim. Utilizing fresh jalapenos from my garden was a nice bonus. I will definitely be making these again - they were delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe. :)

Love them! I enjoy using small jalapenos and swapping out cheddar for jack cheese. Instead of wrapping the peppers, I microwave them for 1 minute after slicing them and then stuff them. To ensure the bacon cooks evenly, I cut turkey bacon into thirds and lay it over the top. Once these treats are ready, you can hardly distinguish between regular bacon and turkey bacon. They are absolutely delightful and a must-bring for all our gatherings, according to all my friends.

I cooked the bacon partially beforehand, then mixed cream cheese with finely chopped onion, cilantro, minced garlic, and lime juice. Baking at 400° for 25 minutes resulted in beautifully crispy bacon and perfectly cooked peppers. Delicious!

Great recipe! I decided to blanch the poppers for a couple of minutes to make them easier to bite into without falling apart. I also discovered that it was a bit messy when wrapping two halves together, so I made twice as many poppers and individually wrapped each half to avoid the cheesiness spilling out. I got creative with the cheese filling by adding paprika, chili powder, and garlic powder to half of them, and for the other half, I incorporated my homemade hot pepper flakes for a spicy kick. The result was a delicious batch of poppers, both savory and spicy. Yum!

I felt let down by the product. The filling all leaked out, leaving the peppers nearly empty. Despite this, they did taste delicious. If I give them another try, I'll freeze them beforehand and then bake them. Hopefully, this will help the filling stay intact.

I upgraded the cheese mixture with peach habanero jam and smoked it. Absolutely delicious!

This might just become my ultimate favorite snack! I made it using Laughing Cow cheese blocks, thick-cut Sargento cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. I kept them whole and scooped out the insides with a corner. Stuffed, wrapped in bacon, and after 40 minutes... voila, hors d'oeuvres fit for the gods!

I absolutely loved this recipe! I made a few modifications by cutting the Jalapenos and bacon strips in half and cooking them a bit longer (35 minutes). I also included 1/4 tsp. of garlic powder in the cheese mixture. It was my first time making these, and I overstuffed the pepper halves, causing the cheese mixture to spill out a bit. Thankfully, a quick fix with a sharp knife solved the issue. I will definitely be making this again. Thank you for sharing the recipe!

I make a variation of these regularly. I slice the pepper in half and then into bite-sized pieces. Instead of using cheddar, I prefer to sprinkle brown sugar on top before baking.
