Popcorn with Cocoa and Sugar

Ingredients

  • cup unpopped popcorn
  • cup vegetable oil
  • cup white sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Directions

Step 1: Heat a popcorn kettle or large pot over medium heat.

Step 2: Add the popcorn kernels, vegetable oil, sugar, and cocoa powder to the kettle.

Step 3: Cook the mixture, gently turning the handle or shaking the pot until the popping slows to about 3 seconds between each pop.

Cook's Note: If you dont have a popcorn kettle, a Dutch oven works well too. Just make sure to shake it consistently while the popcorn pops to avoid burning.
