Thank you, Frank, for sharing the recipe. To create a speedy sauce, reduce the water to 1 cup and the oil to 1/4 cup. Simmer for 15 minutes, then add flour to thicken the mixture of oil, water, tomato, and spices. And there you have it - a quick pizza sauce that's ready by the time your dough is ready to be used!

This sauce is fantastic! I have tested out several others, but this one is my husband's top pick. Following suggestions from others, I reduced the water amount by half, which I highly advise, as otherwise the sauce may turn out too thin. I also like to add half a teaspoon of sugar for some extra sweetness. We now prepare this sauce once a week and absolutely love it!

This sauce was absolutely delicious, but it definitely requires cooking. If made according to the instructions without heating, it turns out quite watery. I decided to enhance it with additional Italian seasoning and a tablespoon of sugar. After simmering it down to achieve the perfect consistency for pizza sauce, it transformed into a fantastic topping for my pizza. I'm not sure how the original recipe was intended to succeed without the cooking step.

My dad always used beer instead of water to make this sauce. I prefer using Budweiser beer as it infuses a subtle touch of flavor. The beer helps balance the tanginess of the tomato paste and enhances the overall sweetness. Following the recipe, I incorporate olive oil and add the beer last to achieve the desired consistency. After refrigeration, the sauce will thicken, so ensure it is saucy when initially prepared. Upon removal, it may resemble more of a paste. Allowing the sauce to set for a day yields optimal flavor, but I've found that a minimum of 6 hours in the fridge still results in a delicious outcome. Time truly enhances the flavors of tomato and garlic blends.

I find it amusing when inexperienced cooks don't realize that recipes requiring mostly water may need to be adjusted to taste. While I acknowledge that the recipe can be misleading, reducing it through cooking can solve the issue. The pizza sauce turned out perfect once it was reduced.
