Homemade Dog Food Recipe
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups brown rice
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower combination
Directions
- Gather all ingredients and ensure they are measured and ready for use.
- In a large Dutch oven, combine the ground turkey, water, rice, and rosemary. Stir to break up the turkey, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Place the Dutch oven over high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and allow it to simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add the frozen vegetables to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the cooking time is up, remove the Dutch oven from the heat. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- Transfer the cooled mixture to an airtight and refrigerate until ready to serve or use.
Cooks Note
For larger breeds, I recommend serving 2 cups of the dish in the morning and 2 cups in the evening.
