Can't be easier than this! I needed some pumpkin pie spice for a Pumpkin Cranberry bread (also from this site) and voila! I increased the amounts to make 8x as much so that I have plenty on hand.

Perfect pumpkin pie spice - The only additional I made was 1/4 teaspoon of allspice to complete the palette. Additionally, you can toast the spice until it just starts to smoke a bit (not BURN it), as it will bring out the rich flavors of the individual spices.

This was really straightforward, I made a second batch and added star anise and cayenne and it’s my favourite ‘go to’ spice blend.. next time I may add some cardamom too :)

Easy good mix of pumpkin pie spices. I used 1/8 teaspoon of it with 1/8 teaspoon of almond extract to 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2 teaspoons of water to ice a pumpkin almond cranberry bread for Thanksgiving.

I’ve tried a lot of different recipes and this one is the closest to perfection. When I use the Libby ratio, my husband always says “more nutmeg, less clove”. (However, I like ginger so I increase the ginger to 1/2. Personal preference). We use it in our oatmeal or simple syrup for coffee. Also, great for baking by subbing in anywhere there is cinnamon.

I was so excited for this recipe because it saved me a trip to the store and a few dollars on a spice that I was able to make myself with spices I already had in the pantry. The only thing was that I put it through a small sifter afterwards to make sure there were no clumps of anything and I didn’t have a measuring spoon for 1/8 of a teaspoon so I just measured using my fingers by taking a pinch between my thumb, pointer and index fingers. Thank you for this!

This is perfect! I love this blend so much. Because I have whole cloves on hand, I searched for the equivalent which is 3 whole cloves for 1/4 of a teaspoon

Needs allspice IMO. Added 1/4 teaspoon of ground allspice, perfect!

I like this recipe, it has a nice taste of cinnamon with a mellow flavor if the other spices. I did add in some all spice to the mix as well. With my next batch I may up the ginger and nut meg a little to see how subtle the changes are in flavour

Depending on the intended use in different items like bread, cakes and etc this can be adjusted by different amounts of any one of these ingredients. Great to make your own and it costs far less than pre-mixed.

A new family seasonal favorite might have been born! A basic recipe great for beginners and advanced home cooks alike. During our appetizer only dinner, we like to call, endless snacks, we used this spice twice. Our favorite concoction tonight was to sprinkle the spice on warmed Trader Joe’s Garlic and Asiago Cheese Dip – so amazingly tasty!! We also put it on top of homemade ranch dip too – it was a perfect compliment. And it all paired wonderfully with champagne!!!
