Garbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 6 potatoes, diced
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
- 2 cups mixed vegetables
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/8 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1/8 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1/4 tablespoon dried basil
- 1/2 pound bacon - cooked and crumbled
Directions
- In a large stock pot, combine the ground beef, diced potatoes, tomatoes, chopped onion, celery, beef broth, and mixed vegetables.
- Add enough water to cover the ingredients, then cover the pot with a lid.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 1 hour, or until the vegetables are tender and the beef is fully cooked.
- Season the soup with salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and basil, adjusting to taste.
- Stir in the crumbled bacon bits, and give the soup a final stir.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
