Slow Cooker Corn Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

Directions

Step 1: Place the cubed potatoes, chopped onions, diced ham, chopped celery, corn (with liquid), margarine, salt, and pepper into a slow cooker.

Step 2: Add the chicken bouillon cubes and enough water to cover the ingredients. Stir to combine.

Step 3: Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 9 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the potatoes to become tender.

Step 4: After cooking, stir in the evaporated milk and cook for an additional 30 minutes on Low to allow the soup to thicken slightly and heat through.
