  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • cup uncooked white rice
  • cup water
  • cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water

Directions

Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, rice, cup of water, and chopped onion. Stir in the salt, celery salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Step 2: Shape the mixture into 1 -inch meatballs.

Step 3: Preheat the oven to 350F (175C).

Step 4: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, then drain the excess fat.

Step 5: In an 11x7 inch baking dish, combine the tomato sauce with 1 cup of water. Place the browned meatballs into the tomato sauce, ensuring they are well coated.

Step 6: Cover the baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Step 7: After 45 minutes, uncover the dish and bake for an additional 15 minutes to finish cooking the meatballs.
