Cheesy Beef Crescent Roll Pie Recipe

Cook Time: 30 minutes

This savory casserole combines the hearty flavor of ground beef with the crispy, buttery goodness of crescent dough. Perfect for a family dinner, its easy to make and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 ounce) can spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350F (175C).

Step 2: In a large cast iron skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium-high heat. Stir frequently, breaking up the beef, until the beef is browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 3: Drain excess grease from the skillet and return the pan to medium heat. Add the spaghetti sauce and diced tomatoes, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking until the mixture is heated through.

Step 4: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the beef mixture in the skillet. Let it melt for a few minutes.

Step 5: Unroll the crescent roll dough and arrange the triangles over the cheese in the skillet, covering it evenly. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 6: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Step 7: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve. Enjoy!
