Broiled Lemon-Pepper Tilapia Recipe

  • 8 (4 ounce) tilapia fillets
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons lemon-pepper seasoning
  • cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs

Directions

Follow these simple steps to make the perfect broiled tilapia.

  1. Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil.
  2. Place the fillets on the prepared pan.
  3. In a small bowl, stir the chopped parsley and lemon-pepper seasoning into the melted butter.
  4. Using a turkey baster, baste the fillets with the butter mixture, using all of the prepared sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the fillets evenly with bread crumbs.
  6. Broil the fillets in the preheated oven for 7 to 9 minutes, or until the thickest part of the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Carefully remove the fish from the broiler pan and transfer it to a platter.
  8. Remove the foil from the pan carefully, ensuring you dont spill the excess butter sauce. Pour the sauce over the fish.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

The thicker and larger the fillets, the longer the cooking time.
