Goat Cheese, Pear, and Bacon Pizza with Pesto Sauce Recipe

Yields: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 5 slices bacon, or more to taste, cut into bite-size pieces
- Bosc pear, sliced
- 2 tablespoons basil pesto
- 1 12-inch pre-baked packaged pizza crust
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- cup crumbled goat cheese
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).
- In a large skillet, cook and stir the bacon over medium heat until fully browned, about 10 minutes. Once done, use a slotted spoon to transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess fat.
- Spread a thin layer of pesto over the pizza crust, leaving a inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pesto layer.
- Evenly distribute the cooked bacon pieces and sliced pear on top of the cheese.
- Dot the pizza with crumbled goat cheese and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 9-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
