Goat Cheese, Pear, and Bacon Pizza with Pesto Sauce Recipe

Goat Cheese, Pear, and Bacon Pizza with Pesto Sauce Recipe

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Yields: 8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices bacon, or more to taste, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Bosc pear, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 1 12-inch pre-baked packaged pizza crust
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • cup crumbled goat cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook and stir the bacon over medium heat until fully browned, about 10 minutes. Once done, use a slotted spoon to transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess fat.
  3. Spread a thin layer of pesto over the pizza crust, leaving a inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pesto layer.
  5. Evenly distribute the cooked bacon pieces and sliced pear on top of the cheese.
  6. Dot the pizza with crumbled goat cheese and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  7. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 9-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
