Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 ounce) can tuna, drained
  • cup chopped scallions
  • cup dry bread crumbs, or as needed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F (175C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, chopped scallions, bread crumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, Sriracha, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture sticks together well.
  3. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Carefully add the patties and pan-fry until they are deeply browned and crispy, about 3 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer the patties to a small baking tray and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until the center of the fish cakes is firm and fully cooked.
