This recipe is a game-changer! I initially doubted its simplicity and minimal ingredients, but it turned out to be a hit with my entire family. We found it absolutely delicious! I'm already making it for the second time in just two weeks because we enjoyed it so much and it's incredibly easy to prepare. I cooked it on low in my slow cooker and used only half of a large sweet onion. Choose a fantastic BBQ sauce to truly elevate this effortless recipe - you won't be disappointed!

I decided to make this dish in the oven rather than the crock pot and it turned out fantastic! I baked 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts with onions and a cup of chicken broth at 375 degrees for about 2 1/2 hours. After draining the excess broth, I shredded the chicken, mixed in some Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, and baked it for another 45 minutes. The result was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be making this again!

I'm grateful for rescuing my evening! I transformed leftover rotisserie chicken by combining it with onion, 1 tablespoon of water, and 1 cup of BBQ sauce in a saucepan, then covered and simmered for 30 minutes. A quick and easy dinner solution!

Review rewritten: I tried this recipe with LAFLINT's BBQ sauce recipe and it was fantastic! I made some adjustments to both recipes though. For the chicken, I added green and red peppers, along with some carrots. In the BBQ sauce, I used brown sugar instead of white, honey, garlic, cinnamon, and Worcestershire sauce. After blending it all together, I poured it over the chicken. I added cornstarch in the last 30 minutes to thicken the sauce. I wrapped everything up in flour tortillas and it was absolutely amazing!

Fantastic and Simple! I cooked it in a 4-quart programmable crock pot. I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts, added some BBQ sauce and around 1/4 cup of pineapple juice. I made open-faced sandwiches with toasted thick Texas toast. Oh, it was delicious!

This was fantastic! My husband and I absolutely adored it and will definitely be making it a regular dish. Following the recipe, I used four 4 oz chicken breasts and sweet onions. I went with Sweet Baby Ray's original barbecue sauce. Mistakenly setting it on high, it cooked up perfectly in just 3 hours. I wouldn't make any changes except to double the recipe next time so we have some to freeze.

Enhanced the flavor with a blend of spices including salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, along with a touch of apple cider vinegar. After 4 hours of cooking, I introduced some apple cider to retain moisture. Opted for a generous amount of BBQ sauce, exceeding a cup, to complement the increased quantity of chicken used.

This topping was absolutely delicious on my Indian fry bread. I added cilantro, tomato, and onion, and topped it off with sour cream!

Tried out Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and it was fantastic! We enjoy a smoky, spicy flavor, so we mixed in some liquid smoke, Tabasco, a couple of generous dashes of cumin, and a bit of garlic powder. The result was absolutely delicious!

I made this dish for our New Year's Eve party and decided to enhance it by adding a few drops of liquid smoke, a dash of cumin, and garlic powder based on recommendations from other reviews. I also used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce as suggested by others. The result was incredibly flavorful, and all the guests loved it. It was simple to prepare - I doubled the recipe to serve 10 people, and we even had leftovers. I will definitely be making this again!

I will definitely make this again, but next time I will use less chicken. I ended up with 18 servings or even more using 4.5 pounds of chicken. The dish turned out very tasty though!

SO SIMPLE. I prepared this dish for a church potluck dinner (tripled the recipe). I returned home with a nearly empty pan. Absolutely delicious and moist.

I have a question... do you thaw the chicken before cooking, or do you cook it straight from frozen? It's not specified clearly, so I usually thaw the chicken in the microwave before preparing it.
