Sizzling Southwest Burgers Recipe

This delicious recipe combines the flavors of a taco with a juicy burger, perfect for a summer cookout or a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
- cup chopped green bell pepper
- cup chopped onion
- 4 slices pepperjack cheese
- 2 tablespoons salsa
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 6 hamburger buns
Directions
- Preheat the grill to high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, taco seasoning mix, chopped bell pepper, and onion. Use your hands to mix everything together until well combined.
- Form the beef mixture into 6 patties, ensuring they are all about the same size for even cooking.
- Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook each side for 5 minutes or until the burgers are cooked through and have reached your desired level of doneness.
- In the last minute of grilling, place the buns cut side down on the grill to toast them lightly.
- As soon as the patties are done, place a slice of pepperjack cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt slightly.
