Cook Time: 10 minutes

This delicious recipe combines the flavors of a taco with a juicy burger, perfect for a summer cookout or a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • cup chopped green bell pepper
  • cup chopped onion
  • 4 slices pepperjack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons salsa
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 6 hamburger buns

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, taco seasoning mix, chopped bell pepper, and onion. Use your hands to mix everything together until well combined.
  3. Form the beef mixture into 6 patties, ensuring they are all about the same size for even cooking.
  4. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook each side for 5 minutes or until the burgers are cooked through and have reached your desired level of doneness.
  6. In the last minute of grilling, place the buns cut side down on the grill to toast them lightly.
  7. As soon as the patties are done, place a slice of pepperjack cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt slightly.
  8. Remove the patties and buns from the grill. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun.
  9. Top each burger with a tablespoon of salsa and sour cream before serving.
