Chris' Bay Area Burger Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 4 hamburger buns, split
Directions
Step 1: Preheat your outdoor grill on high heat.
Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and basil. Stir until well mixed.
Step 3: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten each ball into a patty shape.
Step 4: Place the patties on the grill. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until the desired doneness is reached. The internal temperature should be at least 160F (70C).
Step 5: Remove the patties from the grill and place them on the split hamburger buns.
Step 6: Add your favorite toppings and condiments to the burgers before serving.

Reduce the amount of salt by half and these become fantastic!

We thought this recipe was too salty. Besides that, they were just okay. My husband, who is a big burger fan, didn't like them.
