Fast Pressure Cooker Ribs Recipe

Fast Pressure Cooker Ribs Recipe

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless country-style ribs (or more as desired)
  • teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 2 cups barbeque sauce (such as Famous Dave's)
  • 1 cup beef broth

Directions

  1. Season the ribs with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to your taste.
  2. Layer sliced onion at the bottom of the pressure cooker. Then, add a layer of ribs on top. Repeat with the remaining onion and ribs.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the barbeque sauce and beef broth. Pour this mixture over the ribs in the pressure cooker.
  4. Secure the lid of the pressure cooker and place the pressure regulator over the vent, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Heat the cooker until steam escapes steadily, producing a whistling sound, about 5 minutes.
  6. Once the steam is flowing, adjust the heat so the regulator gently rocks. Cook the ribs for 25 minutes.
  7. Carefully transfer the pressure cooker to the sink and run cold water over it for about 30 seconds to release the pressure quickly.

I had to cook it for 35 minutes in the YETI pressure cooker because it wasn't tender enough at 25 minutes.

I coated it with Stonehill savory vegetable seasoning and allowed it to marinate in the fridge for an hour before proceeding with the recipe. The result was fantastic!

Delicious, fall-off-the-bone ribs that can be easily cut with a fork. I cooked them in an Instant Pot for 25 minutes with a quick pressure release. Perfect for a convenient and tasty meal option.
