Sincronizada Recipe
Ingredients
This recipe was originally developed for a single serving. Quantities may adjust automatically, but cooking steps and times remain the same. Note that scaling recipes may not always yield perfect results.
- 2 (8-inch) flour tortillas
- cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 slices of ham
Directions
Step 1: Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat until hot.
Step 2: Take one tortilla and sprinkle half of the Monterey Jack cheese evenly on top.
Step 3: Layer the ham slices over the cheese, then sprinkle the remaining cheese over the ham.
Step 4: Place the second tortilla on top, pressing gently to form a sandwich.
Step 5: Cook the sandwich on the griddle or skillet, turning carefully with a spatula or tongs, until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Step 6: Remove from heat, let rest for a minute, then slice and serve warm.

Fantastic way to elevate quesadillas to a whole new level. I followed the recipe to a tee, with the exception of using butter for browning and serving them alongside some sour cream. Highly recommended!
