Garlic Chicken Breasts Recipe
Ingredients
This recipe was developed at its original yield. Ingredient amounts are automatically adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly.
- cup olive oil
- cup lime juice
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Directions
Step 1: In a bowl or resealable bag, mix together the olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
Step 2: Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight for best results.
Step 3: Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).
Step 4: Once the chicken has marinated, transfer it from the marinade to a shallow baking pan. Discard any remaining marinade.
Step 5: Season the chicken breasts with a little extra salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 6: Place the baking pan in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear. The internal temperature should reach 165F (74C) when tested with an instant-read thermometer.
