Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

This recipe was developed at its original yield. Ingredient amounts are automatically adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly.

  • 1 cup Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • cup olive oil
  • 2 (16 ounce) T-bone steaks

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350F (175C) and lightly grease a broiler pan.

Step 2: In a shallow dish, such as a pie plate, stir together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, and garlic powder.

Step 3: Pour the olive oil into a separate shallow dish.

Step 4: Dip the T-bone steaks in the olive oil, ensuring both sides are coated. Let any excess oil drip off.

Step 5: Press the steaks into the bread crumb mixture, coating both sides evenly.

Step 6: Place the coated steaks on the prepared broiler pan.

Step 7: Bake on the middle rack of the preheated oven until the steaks reach your desired level of doneness. For medium steaks, this should take about 15 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer; for medium, the center of the steak should read 140F (60C).

The person who shared the recipe mentioned that any quality steak could be used, but beef prices are incredibly high at the moment, so I opted for ribeye which was on sale. And I must say, the outcome was amazing! Although it resembled more of a pork chop in appearance, the flavor was exquisite. My steak was so tender that it practically fell apart on the grill. I deviated slightly by using the grill instead of the oven, but everything else remained the same. I will definitely be preparing this dish again!

My husband absolutely adored this dish! I followed the recipe to the letter and it turned out to be delightful! I give it a 5-star rating. Many thanks to the chef. This is the first time I've successfully cooked a steak indoors that my husband will actually eat!

I was not impressed with this recipe. The crumbs were soggy. I will not be making it again.
