Cook Time: 30 minutes
Delicious Baked Pears with Cinnamon Crumble Topping
Original Recipe Yield: 10 servings
Ingredients
- 6 cups sliced pears
- cup melted butter (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Topping:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (add more if needed)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- teaspoon ground nutmeg
- teaspoon vanilla extract
- cup softened butter
Directions
- Step 1: Gather all your ingredients, ensuring everything is measured and ready to go.
- Step 2: Preheat the oven to 375F (190C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Step 3: Spread the sliced pears evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter and maple syrup.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Step 5: Add the softened butter to the dry mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to combine it until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. If the mixture is too wet, add more flour until you achieve the right texture.
- Step 6: Sprinkle the crumbly topping evenly over the pears.
- Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the pears are bubbling and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
- Step 8: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving.
