Banana Split-Brownie "Pizza"
Ingredients
This recipe was developed at its original yield. Ingredient amounts are automatically adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly.
- 1 (18.4 ounce) package brownie mix
- cup vegetable oil
- cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (5 ounce) package instant banana cream pudding mix
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cups cold milk
- 1 (8 ounce) whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
- 1 medium banana, thinly sliced
- 4 large strawberries, thinly sliced
- 12 maraschino cherries
- cup chopped peanuts
- cup drained pineapple tidbits
- 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce
Directions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Lightly coat a 12-inch round pizza pan with cooking spray.
Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and eggs. Stir 50 strokes with a spoon until the mixture is well blended.
Step 3: Spread the brownie batter evenly onto the prepared pizza pan.
Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the brownie cool completely on a wire rack, which should take about 30 minutes.
Step 5: While the brownie cools, beat the banana cream pudding mix and softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth. Gradually add the cold milk and continue mixing until smooth and creamy.
Step 6: Gently fold in one-third of the whipped topping to the pudding mixture. Then, spread this mixture evenly over the cooled brownie crust.
Step 7: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
Step 8: Decorate the dessert by evenly arranging the sliced bananas, strawberries, and pineapple tidbits on top.
Step 9: Drizzle chocolate sauce over the top, and then sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
Step 10: If serving immediately, cut the dessert into 12 slices and top each slice with a maraschino cherry. Alternatively, refrigerate until ready to serve.
Cook's Notes
If making ahead, it is recommended to add the toppings just before serving. Alternatively, allow each guest to customize their own slice with toppings.
For a thicker crust, consider using a smaller pizza pan or adding an additional box of brownie mix.

This recipe turned out incredibly tasty! I baked the brownies for 30 minutes, but they needed more time to cool down. It's important to ensure the pudding mix and cream cheese are well blended before adding the milk. I might try refrigerating the pudding mixture before adding the Cool Whip next time to make spreading easier. Everyone raved about it and I'll definitely be making it again.
