Recipe for Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients (Original Recipe - 1X, Yields 15 servings):

  • 1 pound unsweetened baker's chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cups evaporated milk
  • 3 cups granular sucralose sweetener (such as Splenda)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil.
  2. Place the chocolate in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Pour the evaporated milk into a microwave-safe bowl.
  4. Gradually stir in the sweetener, adding cup at a time, until fully dissolved.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and stir well to combine.
  6. Stir in the chopped chocolate.
  7. Heat the mixture in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth, approximately 2 minutes in total.
  8. If desired, stir in chopped walnuts.
  9. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  10. Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until the fudge has set and is firm to the touch.
  11. Once set, cut the fudge into 1 -inch squares.

This fudge was absolutely terrible. It was incredibly bitter and completely inedible. I regret spending $15 on ingredients for this disappointing treat.
