World's Best Oreo Fudge Recipe
Ingredients
This recipe was developed at its original yield. Ingredient amounts are automatically adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly. Original recipe (1X) yields 48 servings.
- 3 cups white sugar
- cup butter
- cup evaporated milk
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- cup crumbled chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo)
- 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo)
Directions
- Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper; set aside.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, bring the sugar, butter, and evaporated milk to a boil, stirring constantly. Continue cooking and stirring at a boil until the mixture is smooth, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the white chocolate chips and marshmallow creme until melted, then add the vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- Fold in the cup of crumbled cookies, being careful not to overmix so the fudge retains its bright white color.
- Spread the fudge mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the 1 cup of crushed cookies over the top of the fudge. Press them lightly into the surface to ensure they stick.
- Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature until it is fully set, then cut into small squares for serving.
Cooks Note
Try not to overmix after adding the crumbled cookies, or the fudge will lose its bright white color.

This holiday fudge recipe is truly one of my favorites! I like to switch up the amounts of Oreos by folding in one cup of crushed Oreos into the fudge and sprinkling the remaining half cup on top. It's also fantastic with golden Oreos. Occasionally, I get creative and add some crushed candy canes for a delightful peppermint bark Oreo fudge twist.

Rewritten review: First of all, if you strictly follow the recipe as provided, you are bound to encounter a setback. Your fudge will turn into a shapeless, sticky mess that requires refrigeration to salvage. However, if you utilize a candy thermometer while heating your sugar, butter, and evaporated milk, and heat it until it hits the "soft ball" stage at around 237 degrees Fahrenheit, you will witness your fudge setting perfectly as intended. The vague 3-5 minutes mentioned in the recipe is unreliable due to varied cooking methods among individuals. It is imperative for the sugar to reach the soft ball stage to achieve the desired fudge consistency. Despite this critical oversight in the recipe, the end product is satisfying. Yes, it is undeniably sweet; after all, it is fudge. It is meant to be savored in small portions. Consuming a square the size of a brownie will be overwhelmingly sweet. If you have a penchant for Oreos and white chocolate, I am confident that you will relish a small serving of this fudge.

Too sweet? Not a chance! This fudge is absolutely divine. I slightly reduced the sugar to 2 1/2 cups and added a generous amount of crushed chocolate cream Oreos, both in the fudge mixture and on top. I've found that heating the fudge to 238 degrees F gives it the perfect consistency (for me, this took about 4 minutes of boiling). Investing in a thermometer is definitely worthwhile for achieving this ideal texture. No more worrying about reaching the "soft ball" stage – now I simply stir until it reaches 238 degrees F and presto! This fudge has quickly become my new favorite.

I absolutely love this recipe! The only modification I made was using mint Oreos instead of regular Oreos :) Having a candy thermometer really made a difference in making the fudge. As suggested by others, 238 degrees is the perfect temperature.

Review revised: Despite following the recipe closely, my fudge failed to set as I did not cook it for a sufficient amount of time. For fellow candy making beginners, I recommend investing in a candy thermometer to avoid similar mishaps. It can be disappointing to put in the effort only to have a batch turn out too soft due to undercooking. I've rated this product 3 stars because even with 2.5 cups of sugar, the fudge is overly sweet for my taste. The combination of oreos, white chocolate chips, and marshmallow fluff all contribute to the high sugar content. I am unsure whether reducing the sugar further would yield a proper fudge consistency.

I usually don't fancy fudge much, but my wife loves it, so I decided to make this for her birthday. It turned out really delicious! I reduced the sugar by about 3/4 cup and opted for semi-sweet milk chocolate chips instead of white chocolate. I also added an Oreo crust at the bottom, just like in the main photo.

This recipe is already fantastic, but I took it up a notch by adding 2 tsp of instant coffee to the evaporated milk, and it's absolutely heavenly!

Here is the rewritten review: "This fudge is incredibly sweet! Following the advice of others, I increased the amount of Oreos by using 1 cup of crushed Oreos in the fudge mixture and sprinkling an additional 1/2 cup on top. I will definitely be making this again."

This recipe is simply amazing! The fudge turned out to be incredibly delicious. The fudge base could easily be adapted with various flavors. For those who prefer a less sweet fudge, using 2 1/2 cups of sugar instead of 3 is recommended. If I could suggest an addition to this recipe, it would be to include a crust made with Oreo cookies, followed by a layer of whipped cream or another type of filling before adding the fudge. Overall, I adored this recipe and would definitely label it as 'The Ultimate Oreo Fudge!'

Also, I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but in the video, it initially mentions condensed milk, and then at the very end, it switches to evaporated milk. This is why I accidentally bought condensed milk instead of evaporated. Since I don't have evaporated milk, I am only adding 2 cups of sugar instead of the recommended 3 cups. I found online that you can substitute condensed milk for evaporated milk, but if using evaporated instead of condensed, you should add an additional cup of sugar. Therefore, since condensed milk is sweeter, it should compensate for the missing cup of sugar. I will update you on the final results once I'm finished.

I followed the recipe exactly as written. I prepared it as a surprise for my son, and he absolutely loved it - there wasn't a single crumb left by morning.

I also noticed something interesting in the video. Initially, it mentioned using condensed milk, but towards the end, it recommended evaporated milk. This led me to buy condensed milk instead of evaporated. Since I don't have evaporated milk, I decided to adjust the recipe by only adding 2 cups of sugar instead of 3 as suggested. After doing some research online, I found out that you can substitute one for the other, but if using evaporated instead of condensed, you need to add an extra cup of sugar to the mixture. Therefore, since condensed milk is sweeter, I figured it should balance out by reducing the sugar content. I will update you on the outcome once I'm finished.

I was really looking forward to enjoying this recipe, but unfortunately, I found it to be disappointing. The amount of sugar used was excessive, overpowering any hint of chocolate flavor.

Last year, I whipped up this fudge and it was a massive hit. It received rave reviews from everyone who tried it. That's why I've decided to make it again this year. The recipe is incredibly simple and the taste is out of this world.
