Easy Peach Cobbler with Canned Peaches
Ingredients
This recipe yields 16 servings. Ingredient amounts can be adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain the same. Keep in mind that not all recipes scale perfectly.
- 2 (29 ounce) cans sliced peaches in juice
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions
- Gather all ingredients and preheat your oven to 350F (175C).
- Pour the peaches along with your preferred amount of juice into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and softened butter. Mix with your hands until the mixture becomes crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumbly mixture evenly over the peaches, then scatter the chopped pecans on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the topping turns golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
Cooks Note
Use at least one can of juice from the peaches, adding more if desired from the second can. You can substitute other canned fruits for peaches, swap walnuts for pecans, or omit nuts entirely if preferred.

I added one half cup of bisquick to make topping more crumbly. Sprinkled cinnamon sugar over topping half way through baking time. Delicious and so easy!

The recipie is very simple to follow. I drained the juice from the peaches before putting them into the baking dish then added enough to half cover peaches. It was still kind of wetter at 45 mins then I would have liked but it taste great. I also replaced the flour with protein pancake mix but thats less to fix the recipe and more for help with getting more protein in any ways possible.

Great taste. Baked an additional 15 minutes, total of 1:15 hrs. Took out about 1 cup of the juice. Next time will only keep one can of juice, not both. Added cinnamon and sugar on the top. Will make again with above mentioned tweak.

I did a double batch (so keep that in mind). It was pretty good. I did add a good amount of oats, cinammon, and nutmeg. I also had to add extra flour and slice the canned peaches down a little bit. Overall, it was pretty good. Although along the way you may need to make some tweaks.

Perfect in a pinch. I added a couple dashes of cinnamon, a splash of Meyers dark rum, served w/ a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a drizzle of room temp caramel sauce. I did't measure any of my add ins, sorry! I have faith you guys can sort the details. 😉

This needs cinnamon and/or nutmeg. I made it exactly as written above and it tastes bland.

This was certainly an easy cobbler to make! Like another reviewer mentioned, I had all the peach juice boil up over the cobbler topping so it didn't really brown very well. I also felt that the peaches themselves needed a bit of sprucing up a bit. They just tasted kinda blah (probably due to using canned ones). I also didn't care for the pecans on top. They got a little too overdone. Overall this was just ok for me, and I would try it again with tweaks. Thank you for sharing your recipe!

I added a handful of oats to the crumble, and a tablespoon of honey to the bottom of the dish before adding the peaches…. But a great recipe without any additions!
