Peach Sorbet Recipe

Cook Time: 10 minutes

This refreshing peach sorbet is a perfect summer treat. Made with just a few simple ingredients, it's a light and delicious dessert to enjoy with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ripe peaches - peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • cup water
  • cup white sugar

Directions

Step 1: Gather all the ingredients.

Step 2: Blend the peaches in a blender until smooth. Measure out 1 cups of peach pure into a medium bowl.

Step 3: Immediately stir in the lemon juice and refrigerate the peach pure mixture.

Step 4: In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved (about 1 minute). Remove from heat and allow the simple syrup to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate the syrup for about 1 hour.

Step 5: Once the syrup is chilled, combine it with the chilled peach pure in an ice cream maker. Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions, about 20 minutes.

Step 6: Transfer the sorbet to an airtight and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.

Cooks Note

A good way to tell when peaches are ripe is when their skins come off effortlessly. This is a sign that theyre at the perfect stage for making sorbet.

I found this peach sorbet to be absolutely delightful! The peach flavor is so rich and the level of sweetness is just right. Next time, I would streamline the process a bit by preparing the simple syrup first, allowing it to cool while I peel and chop the peaches. Then I would blend the peaches, lemon juice, and simple syrup together until smooth. After letting the mixture cool, I would follow the rest of the recipe. This approach would result in fewer dishes to wash. Apart from that, I truly loved this sorbet and will definitely be making it again. Thank you for sharing such a fantastic recipe!

I defrosted some fresh peach slices that I had frozen during the summer to make this out-of-season treat. It turned out wonderfully. Absolutely delicious!
