Air Fryer Roasted Bananas Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 banana, sliced into 1/8-inch thick diagonals
- Avocado oil cooking spray
Directions
Step 1: Gather all ingredients.
Step 2: Preheat your air fryer to 375F (190C) according to the manufacturer's instructions. If desired, line the air fryer basket with parchment paper.
Step 3: Arrange the banana slices in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches if necessary.
Step 4: Mist the banana slices with avocado oil, ensuring they are lightly coated.
Step 5: Cook the banana slices in the air fryer for 5 minutes. After this time, carefully remove the basket and flip the banana slices. They will be soft, so handle them gently.
Step 6: Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until the banana slices are browned and caramelized.
Step 7: Carefully remove the banana chips from the air fryer basket and serve immediately.

The parchment paper kept sliding around in the air fryer, preventing the banana from browning properly. It almost caused the paper to burn, resulting in a sticky, gooey mess with the banana.

On my second attempt, I decided to skip using the parchment paper, and I found that I preferred the result without it.
