Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino Copycat Recipe
There's nothing like a refreshing, creamy, and decadent caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks. With this copycat caramel Frappuccino recipe, you can make the sweet treat at home - and save money in the long run!
A Frappuccino is a blended coffee drink made with ice, coffee, and flavored syrups, offering a texture and flavor that sits between a milkshake and iced coffee. The name Frappuccino combines the French term "lait frappe" (a type of milkshake) and "cappuccino" (an espresso-based coffee drink with steamed milk).
Ingredients:
- 2 cups ice (crushed is best, but cubed works too)
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- cup caramel sauce
- 3 tablespoons white sugar (adjust to taste)
How to Make a Caramel Frappuccino:
Making this delicious drink is simple and quick, with just five ingredients and a blender. Follow the steps below:
- Gather all your ingredients: ice, brewed coffee, milk, caramel sauce, and sugar.
- Place the ice, coffee, milk, caramel sauce, and sugar into a blender.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour the Frappuccino into two 16-ounce glasses.
- For an extra touch, drizzle caramel sauce inside the glass before pouring in the Frappuccino for added flavor and presentation.
Tips:
- For a stronger coffee flavor, brew your coffee using 2 tablespoons of ground coffee beans and 1 cup of water.
- If you like your Frappuccino less sweet, reduce the amount of sugar to suit your taste.
- Make it a salted caramel Frappuccino by adding a pinch of sea salt and a drizzle of caramel on top of the whipped cream.

A little too bland and watery, after all the dilution. I recommend doing half the ice, doing half & half (or maybe even heavy cream), and adding a 1/4 teaspoon of xanthan gum to thicken the frappe.

Pretty darn good! The flavor, substance, and caffeine is super close and close enough to not have to spend $6 every time I want a Frappuccino from Starbucks. The steps were so straightforward that it was easy enough to make some tweaks on the fly. First off, I wanted to make 1 drink/serving at a time instead of having left overs. So I did 1 cup of ice, 1/2 cup of coconut milk, 3/4 cup of store-bought cold brew coffee, and went a bit lighter on the sugar and caramel. — I opted with store-bought, pre-made cold brew because I don’t have a lot of time on my hands, didn’t feel like trialing making the perfect batch, and it’s pretty affordable for a large 48oz bottle! — the coconut milk is great, and light and lactose free! — I also bought pre-made caramel syrup, in the future, I’ll look for sugar free — I didn’t have sugar...crazy I know but I did have sugar-free vanilla syrup so I substituted this (2 Tbls) instead. All in all, I love the drink! Great way to save money in the long run!

I'm not really a coffee drinker so I made changes for my guests..used 10 scoops of chocolate ice cream 1/2cup coffee 4oz chocolate sauce about 1/2 cup crushed walnuts whipped cream raspberries to garnish. In blender add ice cream 1/2cup coffee 3oz chocolate sauce Blend until rich thick add more ice cream if needed. Pour into FOUR 8-10oz fancy or fun looking glasses add whipped cream then drizzle chocolate sauce over each glass. Sprinkle walnuts. Add your straw. Garnish with a raspberry on edge of glass.. Sit and enjoy a refreshing tasty milkshake/frapp with your guests.. Makes four servings. You won't be disappointed most of all your guest won't be either.

This is a great recipe. I made this for my daughter without the coffee so I only put in 1 tablespoon of sugar and a spoonful of vanilla ice cream. I didn't have any regular milk so I used Barista style oat milk. I also used Hershey's chocolate syrup instead of caramel. It is great that this recipe is so adaptable to the type of milk, coffee or no coffee and the flavor.

This is perfect. Saw that some think that it is too thin. Use xanthum gum about 1/2 teaspoon in mix and this will thicken it up and also help the ice not to clump

Just made this for my son he loves Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino and it was a hit!!! I used my FrenchPress to make an triple shot of espresso. This gave it a true Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino taste. Next time I will use less milk so it’s not to watery.

I made a matcha version of this! I used 1/2 tsp matcha for one serving. I think that if I make this again I’ll use a heaping 1/2 tsp. I read the other reviews and decided to add a heaping 1/2tbsp of sugar which is the perfect amount for my liking. Also added some vanilla extract. The texture isn’t perfect but I’d make it again.

Great recipe! I used 2tsp of instant Nescafé Tasters choice (which makes a strong coffee) In 1/2 cup of water And 1-2 tbs of creamer (can use a caramel one, vanilla or your favorite) and wow so perfect! And I added about 1/2 cup more ice. The creamer really makes the Frappuccino!

I tried this recipe a few times. the first time I followed the recipe, but it was way too sweet for my taste. I tried again with half the sugar, half the caramel, and brown sugar instead of white. tastes good to me!

This is super sweet and liquidy! I prefer my frappuccino after it has melted a bit, so if you're an extra ice type guy or gal I'd recommend adding just the milk and ice first to get it good and slushed and then add the rest. Also, to save you even more money there's an excellent caramel sauce recipe by Bobby Flay on the food network site.

I made this recipe and it was just like how a Starbucks drink tastes! I substituted the caramel sauce with 1/2 cup of caramel creamer and a 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream, and it basically did the same thing. Overall, 10/10 would definitely make again!

I really liked this, I will say that It was too melted at the bottom so I had to add a lot more ice. I put the left overs in the freezer and then blended it later.

I made this for a casual dinner, and it was a hit. So simple, yet the flavors were rich and satisfying. Even my picky eaters enjoyed it. This one is definitely a new favorite.
