Reindeer Food Recipe

- 24 ounces of white chocolate, chopped
Instructions
Follow these easy steps to make your reindeer food:
- Step 1: Begin by preparing your work surface. Cover a large area of the counter with waxed paper and tape it down to keep it secure.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the miniature pretzels, corn cereal, peanuts (if using), and candy-coated chocolate pieces (M&M's).
- Step 3: Melt the white chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir frequently, scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to prevent scorching.
- Step 4: Once the white chocolate is fully melted, pour it over the pretzel mixture and stir gently to coat the ingredients evenly.

This treat is a favorite among both kids and adults. One great thing about it is that you can customize the ingredients - this time I added M&M's, but I've also tried it with coarsely crushed peppermint candy. The only downside is that even using my largest bowl, some cereal spilled over the side. Next time, I'll make it in two batches for less mess and better distribution of the white chocolate.

My grandfather used to make this every year! Pro tip: Throw all the ingredients into a clean trash bag and shake it around. The kids will enjoy helping too!
