Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
- cup miniature chocolate chips
Directions
- Gather all the ingredients needed for the recipe.
- Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg until fully combined.
- Stir the melted butter into the flour mixture, then gradually whisk in the milk and egg mixture. Continue whisking until the batter is smooth.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Heat a small non-stick skillet over low heat. Once heated, pour approximately 1/3 cup of the batter into the skillet and cover with a lid.
- Cook the pancake for about 3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the pancake, cover again, and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until browned on the other side.
- Remove the pancake from the skillet and place on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, making additional pancakes.

This recipe is fantastic and easy to make. I opted for regular chocolate chips over mini ones, and the result was fantastic. Instead of waiting for the butter to cool, I used cold butter and melted it in the microwave for half the recommended time. I then stirred the remaining butter to bring down the temperature, and it worked perfectly!

This recipe is the absolute worst. I attempted it three times just to confirm, but each time was a failure. There are far superior recipes available. Trust me, I went as far as creating an account just to leave this review, that's how disheartened I am. This recipe is a disaster - chocolate everywhere, overly liquid mixture, and adding butter to the dry ingredients creates stubborn clumps that won't disperse.

This dish is absolutely delicious!! Perfect for both kids and adults. I made a double portion and it turned out great. There were a few clumps, not sure if it was because I doubled the recipe or didn't mix it thoroughly, but it was still really tasty. I highly recommend giving it a try!
