Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
  • cup miniature chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Gather all the ingredients needed for the recipe.
  2. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a large mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg until fully combined.
  4. Stir the melted butter into the flour mixture, then gradually whisk in the milk and egg mixture. Continue whisking until the batter is smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Heat a small non-stick skillet over low heat. Once heated, pour approximately 1/3 cup of the batter into the skillet and cover with a lid.
  7. Cook the pancake for about 3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.
  8. Carefully flip the pancake, cover again, and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until browned on the other side.
  9. Remove the pancake from the skillet and place on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, making additional pancakes.

This recipe is the absolute worst. I attempted it three times just to confirm, but each time was a failure. There are far superior recipes available. Trust me, I went as far as creating an account just to leave this review, that's how disheartened I am. This recipe is a disaster - chocolate everywhere, overly liquid mixture, and adding butter to the dry ingredients creates stubborn clumps that won't disperse.
