Air Fryer Sausage Patties Recipe

Air Fryer Sausage Patties Recipe

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) package sausage patties (such as Johnsonville)
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and preheat your air fryer to 400F (200C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2: Arrange the sausage patties in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overlapping to ensure even cooking.

Step 3: Cook the patties in the preheated air fryer for 5 minutes. After that, flip the patties and cook for an additional 3 minutes.

Step 4: To check for doneness, insert an instant-read thermometer into the center of a patty. It should read at least 160F (70C).

Step 5: Once cooked, remove the patties from the air fryer and serve hot. Enjoy!

Thank you for this recipe! While I understand the reason for turning halfway through cooking, I've found that it doesn't make a difference. My sausage patties are nicely browned on both sides either way, so I've dropped that step. I love my air fryer, but I sometimes have a difficult time converting recipes. While I love pan frying sausage patties (and making gravy!), this method is simple and I don't have to worry about grease splatters on the stove top!

This is for thawed patties. I'm using a Pampered Chef Air Fryer. Don't attempt to do two trays at once. It's possible, I'm sure, but not with the times given here. I increased the second side time to 5 minutes. It's a good recipe!

Loved it I did not however preheat I added a minute to each time meaning 6 for the first one and 4 for after I flipped them. I cooked Kroger maple sausage and who doesn't love the smell of male yummy!!!! Highly recommend the way I cooked it if you like me hate to preheat otherwise recipe is PERFECT!!!!

My air fryer has max temp of 390. Cooked for 5 mins, flip then 4 mins. Not quite done so 2 mins more. Tasted good, outside dark brown and inside done. Maybe next time I will try without flipping as I see in reviews it didn't really matter. Really enjoyed cooking this way vice having to clean my stovetop.

I took the suggestion of a reviewer, didn’t flip the patties, and they browned up beautifully. Air fryer temperatures can vary by brand and size, and when checked with a meat thermometer at 7 minutes, mine were perfectly done. And hardly any mess in the air fryer basket, easy cleanup. Thanks Yoly, this is my go-to method for cooking sausage patties moving forward.

My only problem was , I didn’t have a meat thermometer. I didn’t wanna get sick, so I added an extra 5 minutes, with a flip in between.

This method worked and was so easy. I loved the fact that the air fryer cooked the sausage patties while I made pancakes. Such a convenient way to make them and as others have said; no splatter on the stove top!

I left my sausage in about a minute more, but of course that could just about individual air fryer performance. I’ll definitely do this again.

Sounds good but is this for frozen or thawed patties?
