Easy Baked Mozzarella Sticks Recipe

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 8 slices
  • 8 ounces pizza sauce

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375F (190C).

Step 2: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a flat surface, separating it into 4 rectangles. Press the perforations together to seal them.

Step 3: Cut each rectangle into two smaller rectangles, creating a total of 8 individual pieces.

Step 4: Place one slice of mozzarella cheese on each dough rectangle. Roll each piece tightly, sealing the edges well to prevent the cheese from spilling out.

Step 5: Arrange the rolled dough pieces seam-side down on a baking sheet.

Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 11 to 13 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.

Step 7: While the rolls are baking, warm the pizza sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, about 5 minutes.

Step 8: Once the crescent rolls are done, remove them from the oven and serve with the warm pizza sauce for dipping.

It was okay, but it tasted much better with homemade dough. I always keep some frozen dough on hand. Much tastier!
