Shrimp Chowder

Ingredients

  • cup sliced celery
  • cup finely diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, diced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cups cooked cubed potatoes
  • pound frozen cooked shrimp, thawed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons dry white wine
  • teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Gather all the ingredients.
  2. In a large soup pot, heat the butter over medium-low heat.
  3. Add the sliced celery and diced onions to the pot. Cook and stir until the vegetables are completely softened, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. Next, add the diced cream cheese and milk. Stir over low heat until the cream cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Stir in the cooked potatoes, thawed shrimp, dry white wine, and salt. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until everything is heated through.
  6. Once heated, serve the dish warm and enjoy!
