  • 2 pounds bone-in chicken pieces
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil

Directions

  1. Place chicken, water, celery, carrots, onion, and basil into the slow cooker.
  2. Set the slow cooker to cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.
  3. After cooking, strain the broth and discard the vegetables.
  4. Remove the chicken meat from the bones, and it can be used in a soup or served as desired.
