- 2 pounds bone-in chicken pieces
- 6 cups water
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
Directions
- Place chicken, water, celery, carrots, onion, and basil into the slow cooker.
- Set the slow cooker to cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.
- After cooking, strain the broth and discard the vegetables.
- Remove the chicken meat from the bones, and it can be used in a soup or served as desired.
