Roasted Turnips Recipe
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 pounds turnips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400F (200C).
- Step 2: Peel and trim the turnips. Cut them into 1-1/4 inch pieces and place them into a bowl.
- Step 3: Drizzle the turnips with olive oil and season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss well until the turnips are fully coated.
- Step 4: Spread the turnips out in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Step 5: Roast the turnips for 15 minutes. Then, turn them over and continue roasting for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until they are fork-tender and lightly browned.

These turnips were absolutely delicious! After trying them, I can't imagine eating turnips prepared any other way.
