Homemade White Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups skim milk powder
- 2 cups powdered non-dairy creamer
- 1 cup white sugar
- teaspoon imitation butter flavoring
- 1 ounce white chocolate
Directions:
- Gather all ingredients.
- In a large bowl, combine the milk powder and powdered non-dairy creamer.
- In a smaller bowl, mix together the sugar and butter flavoring until fully incorporated.
- Combine the sugar and butter mixture into the milk powder mixture. Use your hands to mix vigorously, which helps reduce any lumps.
- Shred the white chocolate using a microplane or the small shred side of a box grater.
- Carefully add the shredded white chocolate to the mixture, and stir gently using a spoon to incorporate it without melting the chocolate.
Cooks Note: To use, add cup of the mix to 6 ounces of hot water. For an extra touch, you can top it with crushed peppermint, or gift it in a jar along with colored marshmallows.

I mistakenly used vanilla creamer instead of butter extract in my drink, but it turned out surprisingly sweet. Although I personally found it too sweet, my kids enjoyed it. Adding crushed peppermint sticks enhanced the flavor, and I believe it would be ideal for making unicorn hot chocolate.
