This recipe was almost perfect, but I would make two alterations. First I would add more strawberries to really get the flavor. Then, instead of blending the strawberries with two tablespoons of sugar, I would blend them with a quarter cup of sugar...it was quite tart! Also...you will need about eight standard lemons to get enough lemon juice.

I was assigned to bring lemonade to a birthday lunch, so thought I would make it a bit more special and made this. I doubled it using my Breville juicer, so I had pure strawberry juice. I used 4 cups of lemon juice to 2 cups of strawberry juice and that worked well. I also warmed a few cups of water and let the sugar dissolve, added ice to cool, then added the balance of the water. I also used a mini muffin tray, placed a small strawberry in each, then filled with spring water to use as the ice cubes in a large serving container. Between the beautiful pink color and the strawberry ice cubes, it was a such a pretty presentation well received! Thanks! Fun recipe!

I added more strawberries, roughly double the amount, which I would highly recommend to get a stronger flavour. Could probably do with less sugar, but that depends on the sweetness of your strawberries I suppose. To get more juice out of my lemons I microwave them for 30 seconds - one decent size lemon should get you 1/4 cup of lemon juice if you do that! If you have a large enough blender then I would recommend mixing it in the blender not just stirring it as the recipe suggests because it makes the sugar dissolve a lot easier. I'm going to try it another time with sparkling water and I think it would be lovely!

I halved the recipe because I only had six lemons. I tested out my Cuisinart juicer for the first time and it yielded exactly the right amount of juice. Based on other reviews, I used one extra strawberry. I blended that portion in the Vitamix. Everything came together beautifully. I recommend the author's suggestion of swirling the pitcher each time before pouring. This delicious drink didn't last halfway through dinner, everyone gulped it down!

Made as is, you can tell it needs something. I've learned it helps to make a simple syrup by combining the sugar and equal part water then heat up to dissolve the sugar & allow to cool (for this recipe of 2 cups lemon juice, I used 1.5 cups sugar + 1.5 cups water). I did add nearly twice as many strawberries and 2 extra tbsp sugar because my strawberries weren't super sweet - keep that in mind when making strawberry lemonade :) And personal preference. I then added an additional 5 cups water (instead of 6). Start smaller - you can always add more, and keep in mind you may be adding ice.

I had some store bought lemonade I didn’t like so I used parts of this recipe to perk it up. I used 7-9 strawberries cut in half with about 3 tbsp sugar and instead of water I used 1 cup of the lemonade. I whirred this all together in the blender until we’ll blended. Then I added the rest of the liquid as lemonade. This made my so so lemonade taste delicious.

This turned out great! Substituted 1/3 Cup powdered Stevia for sugar. Puréed strawberries and two lemons (peeled) in a Vitamix

With modifications, this recipe has just the right balance of sweet and tart with noticeable strawberry flavor. I made changes suggested in other reviews. I used 10 strawberries instead of 6, and I increased the sugar to 1/4 cup in the strawberry mixture. I took the time to dissolve the sugar and water on the stove, once for the strawberry mixture and again for the lemon mixture. I decreased the lemon juice, using 1 1/2 cups instead of 2. After combining the strawberry and lemon mixtures together to cool in the fridge, I also stirred about 1/4 tsp. ground ginger (not fresh) into the pitcher, just because I love the subtle crispness it adds. Chill well before serving and garnish with a lemon slice. Delicious and very pretty!

This is a refreshingly delightful strawberry lemonade. I decided to make a sugar syrup, however, by simmering 1 cup sugar with 1 1/2 cup water - just until the sugar dissolves. Adding ice to the syrup quickens the cooling.process, and the rest of the ingredients combine beautifully.

We used a couple more strawberries than called for, and liquefied them with the water and sugar in our Bullet blender. We used about 1 1/2 cups or so of lemon juice, because that's how much juice we got from our lemons. We spun the juice and pulp in the Bullet, also. Except for a bit less lemon juice, followed the recipe, and it was delicious; I don't think I would want any more lemon than we had. Made 2 quarts.

I loved this drink; before starting I read the reviews and followed a reviewer’s tip of adding 1/4 cup of sugar when blending the strawberries and oh my it is so good. I made it with only 400 ml of lemon juice and 5 cups of water as that’s all I could fit in my jug but I believe it’s the right amount of juice to have a sweet taste without that bitterness.

A little pulpy, but maybe I’ll put more water in with the strawberries than a cup and/or blend it longer. The amount of sugar is perfect. It’s delicious.

2 cups of lemon juice is a lot, so I halved the recipe. All of the sugar just fell to the bottom. Any tips?

Quick and easy! Proportions are good, you could add more strawberries if you want more of that flavor.

i thought it tasted like actual strawberry lemonade and with fresh strawberries and now making it again we will be using frozen strawberries with it

Only used 1/2 cup sugar and some extra strawberries. I don't like my lemonade really sweet so this was perfect. Recommend tasting as you go! Also used frozen strawberries and was fine.

Very good, simple recipe. Definitely recommend. Just completed first batch and still sampling. Rating may go up, and definitely won't fall below a 4-star rating.

Excellent recipe. I doubled the recipe for a party. I added 4 extra strawberries to bump up the flavor a little, otherwise perfect as written.
