Spicy Slow-Cooked Beanless Chili Recipe

Spicy Slow-Cooked Beanless Chili Recipe

Cook Time: 395 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally until the beef is browned and crumbly, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes. Once cooked, drain the excess grease and discard.

Step 2: Transfer the browned beef into a slow cooker. Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeo peppers, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, minced garlic, and ground black pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Step 3: Set the slow cooker to cook on Low for 10 hours or on High for 6 hours, depending on your time preference. This will allow all the flavors to meld together perfectly.

Recipe Tip

If you prefer a milder flavor, feel free to swap out the jalapeos for a green bell pepper. For those who enjoy a spicier kick, try using habanero peppers in place of the jalapeos.
