I have to give credit where credit is due. I have tried many recipes from this sight and I will have to say that this one is probally my favorite so far. My whole family loves this. It is my husbands favorite dish and my youngest son which is 9 says that this corn "rocks". I do suggest using 1 and 1/2 (16 oz.) pkgs. of corn, 1/4 tsp. of pepper, and 1 tsp. of salt. I also think that it is best to heat all the ingredients except for the corn on the stovetop before placing in the crockpot. Start on high in the crockpot and cook for one hour. Turn to low and cook for around 3-4 hours. This one is realy good.

No one in N. MN knows about Rudy's, but they LOVE this corn! Be sure to melt butter & cheese together. Add milk, sugar, S & P. I Used Splenda. Prepare it the day before & then cook the next day. Great party dish. UPDATE!! We were able to try the creamed corn at RUDY'S in SA, Texas. This recipe is as close as it gets!!!

Guys, stop using the "can" and the "frozen" stuff. Corn is four for a dollar. 25 cents! Buy some fresh corn. Cut it off the cob with a sharp knife, and go to town. I suggest grilling it first. Any recipe, including this one, will be fantastic. Save the cobs! Use them in your next stock. Freeze the cobs if necessary. I love all you cooks out there. That's why I always come with the dope info. You love your Poppe, you know it.

I used 3 - 10 oz bags of frozen corn, 1 small can of Trader Joe's green chilies, 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 stick of butter, 1/2 cup of half and half, salt and pepper to taste, diced red and green peppers. I melted butter and cream cheese and mixed in half and half very well than added the rest. Stirred it constantly until bubbling and put it in a Crock-Pot sprayed with non-stick spray because I was running behind for a Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't have any leftovers as it was a huge hit! I did put a paper towel across the top of the Crock-Pot and a lid on top of that to help absorb the water from condensation. It was plenty creamy so I might add a box of Jiffy cornbread mix to thicken it up.

I doubled the corn and cut the butter to just a couple of tablespoons I made this for a potluck. One of the husband's called it "cracked corn". Now, everyone tells me I am bringing the Crack corn. LOL, I've been pigeon holed for Crack corn

This was a hit at thanksgiving! I doubled the corn but kept the rest of the ingredients the same. When it was done cooking I took out a quarter to cream it in the blender and mixed it back into the dish.

I did as some of the other reviews noted and melted the butter and cream cheese then added the milk. I used 32 oz of frozen corn and about 30 minutes prior to serving added a cup of shredded cheddar jack cheese and a diced jalapeno. Yum!

I make this all the time using my microwave. Just put everything in a glass bowl and nuke for 3-5 minutes stiring a couple times. No need to dirty a crockpot or waste a liner. I omit the sugar its not needed at all. Some times I use Fiesta corn or add a small can of dices green chilies.

This recipe is a keeper with a little tweek or two. I used twice the corn and after cooking for an hour or so I used a submersion blender and creamed the corn. It came out AMAZING!! (I used a cheap 32oz big of whole corn. Store brand no less. Don't spend a fortune on white corn, use yellow while corn kernels and cream it.)

I made this for my son's birthday. I was looking for something yummy but not time consuming to serve with other dishes. This is it! I did what others suggested and used 2 bags of corn. I combined the cheese and butter and seasonings on the stove before adding to the frozen corn as well. This went well with grilled chicken and there wasn't enough left to save! My suggestion is to spray the crock pot liner before you cook. Thanks Dotte and everyone who commented for this great recipe.

My new go-to parties with family and friends!! Easy and so very tasty. I doubled the recipe and next time I am going to 1 1/2 creme cheese. And I recommend the slow cooker on low. The Best!!

I have made this for years but I add 4 sliced green onions, 1/4 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese, and increased the amount of corn to 20 oz.

Delicious cream corn recipe. Came out a little too thick the first time so I modified it a little bit the second time. I used twice the amount of corn from fresh frozen corn on the cob, 1-8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, 2 tbs sugar, salt and cracked pepper and 1 tbs sweet basil.
