Quick Crescent Taco Pie Recipe

Quick Crescent Taco Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • cup water
  • cup black olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 cups crushed tortilla chips
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a large fry pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Once browned, drain off any excess oil.
  2. Add the taco seasoning mix, water, and sliced olives to the pan. Stir everything together and let it simmer for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  3. While the meat mixture is simmering, preheat your oven to 375F (190C).
  4. Open the package of crescent rolls and separate the dough into 8 individual triangles. Arrange the triangles in an ungreased 10-inch pie pan, pressing the edges to form a crust.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of crushed tortilla chips over the bottom of the crust in the pie pan.
  6. Spoon the meat mixture evenly over the tortilla chips and crust.
  7. Spread sour cream evenly on top of the meat mixture, followed by a generous layer of shredded Cheddar cheese.
  8. Top everything with the remaining tortilla chips, scattering them evenly over the cheese.
  9. Place the pie pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
