Easy Creamy Chicken Mushroom Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound small shell pasta
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 5 teaspoons ground black pepper, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 cups shredded Medium Cheddar cheese
- 2 cups chicken breasts, cooked and chopped
Directions
Step 1: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, sliced mushrooms, and minced garlic. Saut until golden brown.
Step 2: In a separate large pot, bring lightly salted water to a boil. Add the shell pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 3: In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, heavy cream, ground black pepper, paprika, and salt. Heat until the sauce thickens.
Step 4: Add the mushroom mixture from Step 1 to the saucepan and bring it to a slow boil over medium heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped cooked chicken breasts.
Step 5: Pour the creamy sauce over the cooked pasta. Stir to combine and serve warm.
