Turkey Sloppy Joes Recipe

Ingredients
This recipe yields 8 servings:
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- cup chopped onion
- cup chopped green bell pepper
- cup chopped tomato
- 1 cup no-salt-added ketchup
- 7 tablespoons barbeque sauce
- 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- teaspoon celery seed
- teaspoon ground black pepper
- teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 8 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Directions
Step 1: Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey, onion, bell pepper, and tomato. Cook while stirring for about 5 minutes, until the turkey is crumbly and no longer pink.
Step 2: Stir in the ketchup, barbeque sauce, mustard, vinegar, celery seed, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until everything is combined.
Step 3: Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Toast the hamburger buns and serve the turkey mixture on top of them. Enjoy!
