Grilled Cabbage Wedges

This grilled cabbage recipe offers a smoky, tender flavor with a touch of seasoning, perfect for a side dish at any BBQ or grill night.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cabbage, cored and cut into 8 wedges
  • cup water
  • 8 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
  • teaspoon seasoned salt, or to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the cabbage wedges in the bottom of a large metal baking dish. Pour the water into the dish around the cabbage wedges.
  3. Top each cabbage wedge with 1 teaspoon of butter. Season generously with garlic powder, seasoned salt, and black pepper according to your taste preferences.
  4. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil to trap moisture and heat.
  5. Carefully place the covered dish on the preheated grill. Cook for about 30 minutes or until the cabbage is tender and slightly charred around the edges.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve hot, with your favorite grilled meats or as a stand-alone dish.
