Mahi Mahi Burgers Recipe

Grilled Mahi Mahi Sandwich
Ingredients
- 2 (5 ounce) mahi mahi fillets
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon adobo sauce from chipotle peppers
- 2 (2 ounce) whole wheat hamburger buns
- 2 thick slices fresh tomato
- 4 leaves romaine lettuce
Directions
- Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Season the mahi mahi fillets with lemon juice, olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place the fillets on the preheated grill and cook for about 4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is white and flaky. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the center reaches at least 137F (58C).
- While the fish is cooking, split and toast the hamburger buns.
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and adobo sauce together. Spread the mixture evenly onto the toasted buns.
- Once the fish is ready, place the mahi mahi fillets on the buns.
- Top the fillets with fresh tomato slices and romaine lettuce leaves.
