3-Ingredient BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe
This tender, flavorful BBQ pork loin and ribs dish is perfect for a hearty meal. Its cooked to perfection in a slow cooker, resulting in juicy, fall-apart meat coated in a rich BBQ sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 (18 ounce) bottles BBQ sauce, divided
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 (4 pound) boneless pork loin roast
- 1 (4 pound) package thick country-style pork ribs
Directions
Step 1: In a large slow cooker, stir together one bottle of BBQ sauce and the dry onion soup mix.
Step 2: Place the pork loin roast and pork ribs into the slow cooker, ensuring the meat is well coated with the sauce mixture.
Step 3: Cook on High for 6 to 8 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls apart easily.
Step 4: Once the meat is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and set it aside. Allow the crock to cool enough to handle.
Step 5: Carefully transfer the cooking liquid to a bowl and clean the slow cooker crock. Return the crock to the slow cooker.
Step 6: Remove the meat and fat from the bones, discarding the bones. Shred the meat using two forks.
Step 7: Return the shredded meat to the slow cooker. Add the remaining bottle of BBQ sauce to the meat, stirring to combine.
Step 8: Add a small amount of water to the empty BBQ sauce bottle, shake it vigorously to collect any remaining sauce, and pour it into the slow cooker with the meat.
Step 9: Cook on Low for an additional 1 hour, allowing the flavors to meld and the meat to absorb the sauce.
