Sweet & Tangy Mustard Glazed Ham with Pineapple
Servings: 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- cup prepared yellow mustard
- 1 pounds ham steaks
- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple rings in juice, sliced
Directions
Step 1: Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.
Step 2: In a bowl, mix together dark brown sugar and mustard until well combined.
Step 3: Place the ham steaks on a broiling pan rack and generously spoon the mustard mixture over both sides of the ham.
Step 4: Broil the ham in the preheated oven until browned on one side, about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking.
Step 5: Flip the ham steaks over, pour the pineapple juice from the can over the ham, and continue broiling for another 5 minutes.
Step 6: In the final 2 minutes of broiling, place the pineapple rings on top of the ham steaks for extra flavor and sweetness.
Step 7: Watch the ham closely as it cooks quickly. Once the ham is golden brown and caramelized, remove from the oven.
Cook's Note
Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the ham steaks. Adjust the broiling time as necessary to ensure the ham is cooked through and golden brown.
