  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix (such as Hidden Valley Ranch)
  • tablespoon chili powder, or to taste
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the dry ranch dressing, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken tenders evenly with the dry rub mixture.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place the chicken tenders into the hot skillet and cook for about 4 minutes without moving them, allowing the skin to blacken.
  5. Turn the chicken tenders and cook for another 2 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear.
