I read everyone's reviews and decided to be the wise man and not just the smart man...errr woman. so i combined two recipes i found on here and the meal came out perfect. the taste was extraordinary. i added 8 tbs of brown sugar to the meat as it was browing then i added cajun seasonin (4tbs), garlic and onion powder( 2 tsp each). it really was great. but without these ingredients. this meal would have gotten maybe a 3.

This is a quick and easy dinner and very versatile. I made it exactly as posted but I d did not have greek seasoning so I made some of my own at of dry herbs (onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, dill, basil). it tasted great. It is thick and not soupy but that's fine. You can serve it as is, over a baked potato, on a fried or heated tortilla with cheese, pasta etc. Outstanding and very tasty and can be used in a variety of dishes. Thank you!

Didn’t use potatoes from a can so there was an extra step of cutting and boiling them, and my kids don’t like peas so I held off on those but my picky eater 8 year old gobbled it up!

I tried this skillet dinner last night for my husband and myself. My husband was like this is really good. He took some for his lunch today and so did I. I did add Worchester sauce, fresh chopped onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. I also by accident added cream of mushroom/chicken together. I added a little bit of milk to the cream mushroom can to keep that creamy taste. Thanks again for the recipe. I had to make it my own.

This is quick and easy!! I left out a can of potatoes and added a cream of celery from one of the other reviews! I love it and it’s super tasty. I seasoned my meat while browning it and used Total Seasoning.

No alot of flavor. Too many potatoes, I think next time I will use Southern Hashbrowns instead and 1/2 cans of corn and replace peas for green beans with some onion soup mix.

I read the reviews and than I made this my own, I browned the hamburger with brown sugar (thanks to the lady who came up with that idea!!)about 6tsp and I also used garlic salt lots of pepper, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, sage, white pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. I also cut up half an onion and cooked it with the hamburger, I drained it and put one can cream of mushroom, corn, & sliced potatoes. Instead of peas I used green beans. I also put in a half a jar of salsa and 2 tsp of mustard. It was spicy and really yummy!!

This was very easy and quick to make. Made half of it for two with leftovers. Modified it a little to make it more tasty. Added 1 clove of garlic, two tablespoons of chopped shallot, 1 cup of chopped spinach, fresh potatoes, and added halved cherry tomatoes at the end. I’ll definitely make this again.

Recipe as is, itis easy but lacks. I have made it for years but additional seasoning. I use real potatoes, omit peas add water chestnuts for crunch and numerous other variations that don't add time just texture and flavor. I have browned the meat add salsa / tomatoes partially cook rice then add to cooked beef with tomatoes juice to finish cooking. seasonings (don't forget an onion). It can be started in advance and put in refrigerator. Pop in oven when you get home to finish cooking. Some cheese, tortillas, and canned beans of choice. more choices depending on number of family or more just to keep making better meal.

I’ve made this recipe for years. Used whatever vegetables available. I add garlic, lots of pepper, whatever strikes my fancy. I love it, so does the family. Tastes better tomorrow as a leftover.

This has been a family recipe for many years, minus the peas, except we call it Pot of Mud! Lol. I happen to make it one night with what I had on hand. I've tried numerous variations to this recipe. Most turned out well. Sky's the limit with this one. Many years later we still make it...My grown children make it for their kids now.

It's a great recipe, I make somthing similar, but leave out the peas and the corn. Keep potatoes, add carrots, onions, garlic, salt and pepper, and a side of mac n cheese, with sourdough bread.
