A high-quality bread is key, and when paired with garden-grown tomatoes, it takes the sandwich to a whole new level of deliciousness. I prefer to cook my bacon in the oven (12-18 minutes at 425°F, depending on thickness) to achieve a crispy and flat result. Adding plenty of fresh cracked pepper enhances the flavor even more. To elevate the taste further, a few slices of avocado are a great addition, especially when using store-bought tomatoes. They also offer a nice change of pace when your garden is overflowing with tomatoes.

On March 23, 2018, I created a delicious double decker sandwich using three slices of toasted bread. I layered lettuce and tomato on the bottom, bacon on the top, and placed the third slice in the middle. It was absolutely delicious!

This was a fantastic all-time favorite that I hadn't enjoyed in years. I toasted the bread in a pan with butter, and it was absolutely delicious.

I had some leftover Thanksgiving turkey breast and decided to make a BLT sandwich with it. It was amazing, especially after brining the turkey for 24 hours. The meat was so juicy, and the addition of crispy bacon really took it to the next level!

I agree, it may not be extravagant, but sometimes simple recipes are the best! I personally prefer using more than 2 slices of tomato, but you can adjust it to your liking. Just sprinkle some salt and pepper on the tomato, and you're ready to enjoy!

Excellent sandwich! There have been some criticisms regarding the recipe omitting the step to toast the bread. It appears that the list of ingredients has been revised since these comments were posted, as it now specifically includes toasted bread.

The best sandwich choice, hands down. I made it with low-sodium turkey bacon, rye bread, and a generous dollop of deli-style mustard. Delicious combination.

Deducted stars for featuring toasted bread in the photos but failing to provide instructions for this step in the recipe.
