Meatball-Stuffed Crescent Rolls Recipe

Cook Time: 20 minutes

This simple recipe combines juicy turkey meatballs wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough for a delicious appetizer or snack. Perfect for any occasion, these bites are easy to make and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon butter (or as needed)
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325F (165C). Butter two cookie sheets and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, chopped onion, onion soup mix, dried parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the turkey mixture into about 48 small meatballs.
  4. Unroll one package of crescent rolls, keeping the second package refrigerated. Separate the dough along the dotted lines and cut each triangle into thirds.
  5. Place a meatball in the center of each dough triangle. Stretch the dough around the meatball, pinching the edges to seal it inside.
  6. Place the stuffed rolls seam-side down onto one of the prepared cookie sheets. Repeat with the second package of crescent rolls and the remaining meatballs.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush the egg wash over the top of each roll.
  8. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatballs reaches at least 160F (71C) when tested with an instant-read thermometer.
  9. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Tips

  • Keep the crescent roll dough refrigerated until you're ready to use it. Its easier to work with when cold.
  • If you have leftovers, you can freeze the baked rolls. Reheat them in the oven at 325F (165C) for about 20 minutes or until warmed through.
