Spicy Sushi Roll Recipe

Spicy Sushi Roll Recipe

Ingredients

  • cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chile sauce
  • 1 teaspoons togarashi (Japanese seven spice)
  • 1 teaspoon prepared wasabi
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 (3 ounce) fillets imitation crabmeat, cut into 1 -inch pieces
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 3 sheets nori (dry seaweed)

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chile sauce, togarashi, wasabi, chili powder, and paprika. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Gently fold in the imitation crabmeat, ensuring that each piece is evenly coated with the sauce mixture.
  3. Lay out the nori sheets on a flat surface. Spread a thin, even layer of cooked sushi rice on top of each sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space at the top.
  4. Spoon a portion of the crabmeat mixture onto the top edge of each nori sheet, spreading it out into a straight line.
  5. Carefully roll the nori sheet around the filling, starting from the edge with the crabmeat mixture. Roll tightly but gently until the entire sheet is wrapped around the filling.
  6. Use a sharp knife to cut the roll into 8 equal pieces, making sure to clean the knife between cuts for cleaner slices.
  7. Serve the sushi rolls immediately, or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
